Artist Statement

I had some trouble starting off and did not work on it for a few days, but today I had more ideas and an excitement for this project. It looks very simply but it took me a whole morning and I really love it. I thought about my mom while making it. She is alive but her health is changing, and she is going throw some things as a young single mother. I thought about health and growth and seeing my mother in the future healthy and happy where she is. In that thought I created this. I thought about it as my mother’s journey growing and blooming to become the best her.
